The final winner of Poster Design selected by the jury members

“Founder Award” Competition on Chinese font Design aims to promote the innovation of Chinese font and to enrich the categories of Chinese font though combining the ancient Chinese font culture and modern design concept and techniques together. Since Jun,2001, three competitions has been held successfully. Comparing with the previous three ones, two new items are added to the 4th “Founder Award” Competition on Chinese font Design and Poster Design: In the category of Chinese font Design, “Design on Calligraphy Chinese font” is added, the purpose is to integrate the art of Ancient Chinese Calligraphy like “Yan, Liu, Ou,Zhao” etc into modern art, which will be also applicable for printing, website, television and mobile etc; In addition to that, Chinese font oriented Poster Design is also added, the participants are requested to demonstrate the charm of Chinese fonts through poster.

This competition achieved warmly responses from font design amateurs home and abroad. Up till the deadline, the organizing committee totally received more than 2000 pieces of works from participants all over the world. The organizing committee of this competition invite eight famous authorities in fonts and Art circle to be the jury committee, who are Mr Akira Kobayashi font advisor of Linotypen; Professor Wangmin, President of design school of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Mr Zhu Zhiwei, Director of font design from Beijing Founder Electronics Co., Ltd(herein and after refers to as “Founder Electronics”), Professor Lv Shengzhong from China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Li Shaobo from China Central Academy of Fine Arts ,Senior Professor Yu Bingnan, from Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, Famous Hongkong Designer Mr 靳埭强 and famous American Chinese Artist Mr. Xubin. They will score the design works base on creativity of work, structure of font and standard of font pattern etc.
